The Most Effective Ginger Massage Oil You Need Now

A warming massage for a cold achy body is ideal during the winter season.    Increase your circulation.  Ginger massage oil will warm you from within and  help to lift your mood.

A mixture of soothing oils that are easy to use for massage.  Olive oil for slip and grapeseed and jojoba oil to tone down a greasy feeling.

NB.   If you want to use fresh ginger - which is an option - you will find this creates some water in the oil mix and this limits the shelf life unless a preservative is added.   Best stored in the fridge for no longer than 2 weeks if not preserved.  You can use a natural preservative or a food grade preservative like Sodium Benzoiate.

Rub sore muscles and joint gentle.

Ingredients:

60 mls jojoba oil or grapeseed oil or mix the two.

60 mls of olive oil.   Extra virgin is best.

30 mls fresh ginger bulb grated  or if you want to use dried ginger only use 15 mls. Do not use the powder.  This must be dried ginger bulb.

If you want to add additional goodness add a pinch of lavender powder  ( Earth & Thyme makes this from organically grown lavender)  or Calendula flowers ( Earth & Thyme source these from our garden. )    Totally optional but an extra that makes this massage special.

To Make and Use:

If you are using herbs place these into a glass jar and add the oils.   Stir well or shake to combine.

Cover and let the goodness infuse for 24 hours at least.  You can make this well in advance and macerate the herbs for 7 days using the natural sun to help with the process.

Strain.  The herbs can be added to your compost.

Bottle the infused oil blend.  Label and use for your relaxing, warming massages.
